Swedish waffles


Swedish, Serbian, Greeks... I think waffles are same everywhere :). In Serbia it's called grandma's cookie :). Dunno why, maybe because they smell delicious, like a cookie that only granny can make. Also they are called galette, but that comes from the French cuisine. Anyway, the difference between these Swedish waffles and the rest can be only in the butter. I've learnt that if you are Swede then you are using lots, lots, lots of butter everywhere :) and butter is the one that gives a nice flavor to food.

So, here we are. Nice recipe for waffles ( with lots of butter), for every day :). Scandinavian style waffles are thin and made in a heart-shaped waffle iron :)

Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 70 g sugar
  • 1-2 tbs vanilla sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • ½ tbs baking powder
  • 500 ml milk
  • 100 g melted butter

    + some extra butter for waffle pan (I am using liquid butter for that)
Preparation:
  • Mix eggs and sugar and vanilla into foam, stir the flour mixed with baking powder and add milk. Leave it for 20-30 minutes then stir the melted butter.
  • Pour the mixture in the waffle pan and squeeze little butter on it and bake it around 5-7 min (it depends on your waffle pan).

From these ingredients I got 13 waffles.

You can serve them without anything, or with whipped cream, melted chocolate and fresh strawberries

Svedski vafli (bakin kolac)

Mekani i fini, bas kao bakini :)
Tradicionalni svedski recept za vafle.
Svedjani obelezavaju 25. mart kao Dan vafla, te se oni obavezno spremaju i jedu na taj dan :)
Recept je jednostavan, a ukus odlican, dorucak, vecera ili pak samo ukusan dezert :)
Potrebno:
  • 4 jaja
  • 70 gr secera
  • 1-2 kasicice vanilin secera
  • 250 gr brasna
  • ½ kasicice praska za pecivo
  • 500 ml mleka
  • 100 gr otopljenog maslaca + ekstra za podmazivanje vaseg pekaca.
Priprema:
Penasto umutiti jaja, vanilin secer i secer, dodati brasno sa umesanim praskom za pecivo i mleko. Ostaviti da odstoji dvadesetak minuta pa umesati otopljen maslac.
Od dobijene kolicine testa, ja sam ispekla 13 galeta.
Peci u podmazanom pekacu za galete i na svaku dodati malo otopljenog maslaca.
Zavisno od pekaca, vreme pecenja je od 5-7 minuta.
Mozete ih sluziti bez icega ili uz dodatak neutralne pavlake, otopljene cokolade i svezih jagoda :)
